General Questions
How often should I have my home treated?
Most homes in Southeast Michigan benefit from quarterly service, which maintains a protective barrier through changing seasons. Homes with heavily wooded areas, lakes, or recurring pest problems may benefit from bi-monthly treatments.
Are your treatments children and pet friendly?
Yes. Our products are designed to be friendly for families and pets while remaining effective against pests.
Do I need to leave my home during treatment?
No. Most exterior services don't require you to leave your home at all. If an interior treatment is recommended, a technician will explain exactly what to expect.
What pests do you treat?
We protect homes from ants, spiders, wasps, hornets, Yellow Jackets, fleas, ticks, earwigs, centipedes, millipedes, Boxelder Bugs, Stink Bugs, rodents, cockroaches, and many more.
Service Questions
What happens during my first service?
Your first treatment is our most comprehensive. We inspect your property, remove webs around your reachable eaves and awnings, apply a protective barrier around your home's foundation, treat entry points, and address current pest activity.
Do you guarantee your service?
Absolutely! If covered pests return between scheduled visits, we'll come back and re-treat the affected areas at no additional charge.
Do you treat the inside of the home?
We focus on keeping pests outside where they belong. Interior treatments aren't done as often because the treatment plan we create for you is designed to minimize active pest activity indoors while creating a protective barrier outside to keep them from returning.
Will rain wash away my treatments?
Not usually because we generally treat when rain isn't forecasted for the next 24 hours. Our products dry within about 20-30 minutes so normal rainfall will not significantly reduce their effectiveness. If heavy rain or strong storms are expected around your day of service, we might need to call and reschedule our visit.
Can I mow after my treatment?
Yes. The slow release granular barrier that we spread up to 10 feet from the foundation of your home is designed to penetrate the soil. If your lawn is long, we recommend mowing before our scheduled visit for better contact with the soil beneath the grass.
Seasonal Questions
Why are there so many spiders around my home?
Spiders follow their food source. When insects (flies, mosquitoes, etc.) increase during the summer, spiders build webs around lights, windows, garages, porches and eaves. During times of extreme heat or drought, spiders will try to get into the home for cooling and moisture.
Why am I seeing ants even after treatment?
This means that the treatment is working. Our products are designed to bait the ants into sharing the applied products with the colony which will help to eradicate it. Most homeowners notice a significant reduction within one to two weeks.
Why do wasps keep coming back?
New queens can establish nests throughout the season. Regular inspection and preventative treatments greatly reduce new nest formation.
When do rodents start coming inside?
Typically in late summer through fall as temperatures cool and food sources begin disappearing.

Fact: Many pests become more active indoors during the fall and winter as they seek warmth.
Myth: If I don't see bugs, I don't need pest control.
Fact: Many pests remain hidden until populations become established. Treating them before they turn into a problem is the key to a pest-free home.
